About the Compiler

By (Qari) Ismail Shabbir Ahmed Desai (Soofi)

Albumdulillah, the compiler, my respected father, Hajee shabbir Ahmed Desai (Soofi), affectionately known as “Chota Mota has been engaged in different and diverse Deenee activities since the 1960’s. This begins with his serving as Imaam and Madrasah Ustaazh at the  Umzinto Masjid after the demise of his pious father (known as soofi Mota) in 1962.

In 1968, the Da’watul Haq group of Madrasahs was established under his able leadership and supervision. This led to affiliate Madrasahs rapidly increasing and thus the need for a syllabus atose. Hajee Shabbir Ahmed established a printing press where he personally printed Kitaabs that made up the syllabus for primary Madrasah classes. A major benefit was  that the cost of printed Kitaabs was kept to its minimum, making them affordable to all. Kitaabs were distributed free to the very deserving ones. The motive was never to make a profit.

Towards the mid 1970’s a need was felt for an illustrated and simplified Kitaab on hatic Fiqh Masaa-il for the higher standards. Hence the compilation of “Taleemul Haq” commenced under the personal supervision of his nephew, Hadhrat Moulana Yunus Patel Saheb who named the Kitaab “Taleemul Haq.” It was first printed in 1975 at his own printing press

The compiler’s passion for this task took him to great Ulamaa for their Du’aas and encouragement. It is the conviction of Hajee Shabbir Ahmed that the general acceptance of this Kitaab here and abroad is the result of the Du’aas of these pious servants of Allah Ta’ala. May Allah Ta’ala grant them the highest abodes in the Hereafter, Aameen.

In the 1970’s & 1980’s “Chota Mota” got able youth from his affiliate Madrasahs to enrol for Hifz at the Waterval Islaamic Institute (Mia’s Farm) in Johannesburg under the tutorship of the late Hafiz Abdur Rahman Mia Sahib whose passion for teaching the Holy Qur’an was exemplary

Further, Chota Mota’s keenness for imparting Deenee knowledge saw him encouraging and getting students to pursue futher slaamic studies in India. Some of the students who were sent or taken by him personally in the 80’s gradually qualified as Ulamaa, Muftis and Qaaris and are presently engaged in the service of Deen, Alhamdulillah

In 1956, Allah Ta’ala fulfilled a long cherished desire of Chota Mota This was in the form of the establishment of Hife class in his hometown Umzinto, with much encouragement from my late mother (may Allah’s mercy be on her, Aameen) The Madrasah was housed in an old building

As the need arose, a structure was built under the personal supervision of chota mota and here his building talents came to the fore. The artistic talent he is blessed with was him selling his art work and using the funds received therefrom for this project. With the help of Allah Ta’ala, this project has reached its completion (picture on back cover).

There was always a need for Taleemul Haq to be translated into Zulu for the local masses to benefit. Chota Mots requested Brother isa

Khowane to fulfil this need. The Zulu edition was printed in 2005.

Besides his building involvement presently, he personally supervises the  Boarding students. Sees to their needs and is a fatherly figure to them for all this, the only remuneration he is desirous of is acceptance in the the court of Allah Ta’ala.

May Allah Ta’ala accept his selfless scarifies and bless him with a long life with good health to continue and increase the noble work. Aameen.

<h3 id="1">What is a return and exchange policy?</h3> A return and exchange policy is a set of rules a retailer creates to manage how customers return and exchange unwanted merchandise they’ve purchased. These policies tell customers what items can be returned and for what reasons, as well as the timeframe over which returns are accepted. From<a href="https://www.apple.com/shop/help/returns_refund" target="_blank" rel="nofollow noopener noreferrer"> Apple</a>’s strict 14-day return policy, to<a href="https://www.ikea.com/us/en/customer-service/returns-claims/" target="_blank" rel="nofollow noopener noreferrer"> IKEA</a>'s generous 365-day turnaround, just about every major retailer offers return and refund policies to their customers—and your small business should, too. <h3 id="2">Why have a return policy?</h3> A fair return and exchange policy builds trust between a business and its customers. In fact, offering a clear and consistent way for customers to return a purchased item can increase conversion and repeat rates. Giving customers a full refund on their orders can result in a loss of profitability, and knowing that someone disliked your product can be disheartening for business owners who strongly believe in the benefits of their products and services. For these reasons, it can be tempting to avoid creating a comprehensive return and refund policy and leave the mounting problem unaddressed. As you’ll see, however, this would be a mistake.
