The Significance of Hadith

Rasulullah s received two types of revelation. The first is referred to as Qur’an and it is recited in and out of Salah. The second is known as Hadith or Sunnah and it’s recital is not prescribed like the recital of the Qur’an. Hadith or Sunnah is the prophetic elucidation and clarification of the Qur’an, without which its meaning and message cannot be comprehended.

لمعاني والشرح التفسير بمنزلة السنة فكانت الكتاب

علي رسول الله كان الوحي ينزل

صلي الله عليه وسلم و يحضرہ جبريل بالسنة التي تفسر ذلك
