وقد استقى الشيخ هذه الفوائد والمعارف من بساتين شروح علمائنا الأجلاء وفقهائنا الأخيار رحمهم الله – معتمداً بشكل خاص على كتب مثل المنهاج للنووي، وفتح الباري للحافظ ابن حجر العسقلاني، وشروح ابن رجب الحنبلي، وابن بطال، وبدر الدين العيني، و«المرقاة» لملا علي القارئ، وأوجز المسالك للشيخ زكريا بن يحيى الكاندهلوي. كما اقتبس من شروح أخرى كـ دليل الفالحين» و «منهل الواردين» و«الصابوني» وغيرها.
