Description of the Book

The Qur’an has been translated into many languages by many different scholars. There are a large number of translations of the Qur’an in the Urdu language. Among the most prominent of these translations is the Bayarul Qur’an of Maland Ashraf All Thâmwi rahmatullahi ‘alayh who is unanimously accepted as the mujaddid (reformer and rejuvenator) of our times. An abridged English translation of Bayarul Qur’ân is now presented to the readers.
The present translation covers Sürah al-Fatihah and thereafter Surah al-Duhả till the end of the Qur’ân. These sûrahs have been selected because they are most regularly recited in our saliih. Unfortunately, many of us do not understand these sürahs despite reciting them for years on end. If a person endeavours to study the present translation of these sûrahs and the commentary thereof, he will, insha Allah, begin to understand them both in saläh and out of salah. This will, tasha Allah, facilitate more concentration in his salah.
A distinguishing and added feature of this translation is that it contains the Manilius Sulük of Maulana Ashraf All Thânw rahmatullahi alayh. This would obviously appeal to those who are following the path of tasawwuf. We can safely say that this translation is of paramount importance to the salikthe one who is treading the path towards true recognition (ea’rifah) of Allah
It is hoped, that by studying this book, the layman and the salik,
will:
1. start appreciating the beauty and splendour of the Qur’an
2. start understanding these short sårahs 3. start concentrating in his galäh
4 start getting closer to the true recognition of Allah
